BungeeChewie ball: lilac-turquoise

BungeeChewie is our ever-popular Chewie suede ball with a longer, elasticated bungee handle. BungeeChewie suede ball is a wonderful, soft leather ball, perfect for playing with and training your dog. The toy is designed especially for dog sports: thanks to its premium quality, it can take even the wildest game of tug-of-war. The extremely high-quality leather is tough and thick, so the whole toy can withstand wear and tear from biting and tugging, including the handle. 

The handle is 38 cm long and stretches to 54 cm. Thanks to the bungee handle, this toy offers a very pleasant and safe tugging experience for both the dog and the handler. The handle has a soft fleece lining that’s very comfortable on the handler’s hands. 

BungeeChewie is stuffed with sheep’s wool from a local sheep farm. The wool stuffing is wool top, meaning wool that has been scoured and brushed. Wool makes the BungeeChewie a light and soft toy. The toy includes a squeaker to make it even more fun. The ball is not overstuffed and hard, it is also nice for the dog to bite and chew on.

The BungeeChewie balls are handmade in Finland using genuine leather recovered from a local furniture factory. Only the handle part is not made in Finland.

Material

The genuine leather used in BungeeChewie toys is leftover scraps from a Finnish furniture factory, Pohjanmaan Kaluste, which we then give new life as dog toys. Nothing is wasted: the toys are designed to make the best possible use of the leftover leather. All the leather that we use is EU REACH certified, which means that the leather is toxin-free and that no hazardous substances have been used in processing it.

BungeeChewie balls are designed and handmade in Finland using genuine heavy-duty leather. 

Properties and use 

Because each toy is made by hand, the amount of filling and thus also the weight of toys may vary slightly. Never leave your dog unattended with a toy. Genuine leather and sheep’s wool are materials that can tempt dogs to start ripping a toy apart and swallowing the pieces, which should be avoided. This toy is intended only for playing together with your dog. Most dogs love playing with these genuine leather toys.

Because the toys are made of genuine leather, they should be used and treated as such. We do not recommend getting the toy wet, for example, or playing with it in freezing temperatures because wet leather hardens, and that can decrease the toy’s durability and shorten its lifespan. As a natural material, leather will best maintain its durability and softness when it is kept dry. So although this toy may not be the best reward in very wet training conditions, your dog will probably think it’s all the more special when you do use it.

Please also note that if a wool-stuffed toy becomes wet, it may smell more strongly of wool.
